From Winner to Judge: Entrepreneur’s Forty Under 40 Journey

Property sector mogul Reece Mennie has been appointed to judge the prestigious Forty Under 40 Awards after being named among this year’s winners.

Having been recognised as a leading name in the business and property sectors by 2025’s judges, winning both the Real Estate Development and First Among Equals categories in the Global competition, Reece will now join the panel to help decide who will clinch the sought-after places on the UK-based list.

The entrepreneur began his career after leaving school at the age of 15, joining his father’s company to help turn around its fortunes before moving on to launch his own businesses. Reece is now the owner and CEO of property investment consultancy Hunter Jones Group, nationwide developer HJ Collection, and marketing agency Bigas Marketing. In addition, he hosts the Mennie Talks Podcast, interviewing guests such as Harry Redknapp, Jermain Defoe, and Jermain Jenas about their careers and business ventures.

Alongside successfully scaling his brands into multi-million-pound empires, Essex-based Reece also works to support other aspiring entrepreneurs and takes an active role in boosting the careers of local athletes, in particular up-and-coming boxers through his role as an investor and director of Loughton based Boxing Academy, Dennis & Dyer.

He said: “I am passionate about doing all I can to help people who have fantastic ideas, or are just getting started in business, to ensure they succeed. This takes the form of the focus on career development within all of my companies, and the mentoring I take part in too.

“But I am always looking for new opportunities to elevate others, so I was thrilled to be asked to judge the 2025 UK awards as this gives me another opportunity to highlight the fantastic men and women out there who are working hard, achieving, and leading their sectors – all while still in their 20s or 30s.

“The wealth of talent in the UK is staggering, so I am sure it will be difficult for the panel to make our decisions. Winning two Global Forty Under 40 Awards was a highlight of 2025 for me, and I am sure those on the 2025 UK list will feel exactly the same.”
