Experienced executive takes over leadership of the engineering and manufacturing company as founder Raymond Mifsud steps down after 35 years.
BTL-UK Ltd, a UK-based manufacturer and distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission products and motion transfer linkages, has appointed Caroline Taylor as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 October 2026.
The appointment was announced by parent company Dacke Industri and marks a leadership transition for BTL-UK, with Taylor succeeding Raymond Mifsud, who has played a central role in the company’s development over the past 35 years.

Taylor brings almost 16 years of experience within BTL-UK to the position, having progressed through several management roles, including Human Resources Manager and, most recently, General Manager.
In her latest role, she was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the business, providing her with extensive operational experience and an understanding of its customers, workforce and commercial activities.
Extensive Management Experience
Before joining BTL-UK, Taylor held senior positions in the retail sector, including National Head of Retail at housing and homelessness charity Shelter.
She also gained management and operational experience at Thresher Group, where she held several leadership positions.
Her appointment represents an internal succession, providing continuity for BTL-UK as it looks to develop its operations and respond to changing market conditions.
Commenting on her appointment, Taylor paid tribute to her predecessor and outlined her priorities for the business.
“On behalf of the Board and all employees at BTL-UK, I would like to thank Raymond for his dedication and leadership over the past 35 years. Through his commitment and hard work, he has built something that he has every reason to be proud of,” said Caroline Taylor.
“After nearly 16 years with BTL-UK, I am honoured and excited to take on the role of CEO. My personal values of respect, trust and integrity fully align with those of Dacke Industri. I am fully committed to continuing the development of BTL-UK together with our employees and customers, while embracing new opportunities in an evolving market and responding to the challenges ahead.”
Raymond Mifsud Recognised for 35 Years of Leadership
The appointment follows the departure of Raymond Mifsud from the CEO position after more than three decades of involvement with BTL-UK.
As founder and co-owner, Mifsud has overseen the company’s development into an established supplier of engineering components serving customers in the UK, Europe and international markets.
His leadership has contributed to the company’s position within the bearings and power transmission sectors, which supply components used across a range of industrial applications.
Mifsud welcomed Taylor’s appointment and expressed confidence in the company’s future direction.
“I have no doubt that Caroline will be successful in taking the company forward, she has an excellent team around her and together they will develop and grow BTL-UK Ltd for many years to come,” said Ray Mifsud, Founder and co-owner of BTL-UK Ltd.
Dacke Industri Backs New Leadership
BTL-UK operates as part of Dacke Industri, an international industrial group specialising in the ownership and development of technology-focused manufacturing businesses.
The group follows a decentralised management structure, allowing its subsidiaries to operate with considerable independence while benefiting from strategic guidance and wider group expertise.
Mikael Lundgren, President Power and Motion at Dacke Industri and Chairman of the Board of BTL-UK Ltd, said Taylor’s operational knowledge would be valuable as the company enters its next phase.
“Caroline has a strong understanding of BTL-UK, its operations and its customers. Her experience and knowledge of the company make her well suited to lead BTL-UK forward,” he said.
The leadership change comes as engineering and manufacturing businesses continue to navigate evolving customer requirements, technological developments and pressures affecting international supply chains.
Taylor’s appointment is intended to maintain continuity within BTL-UK while supporting opportunities for further development.
