Thomas Carroll strengthens management team with senior appointments

Thomas Carroll, the leading independent insurance and risk management specialist, has announced three appointments in its management team, plus an additional four client directors.
Mark Slade is the new Divisional Director – Partnerships, leading Thomas Carroll’s approach to deals, markets, trading, distribution, insurer and other partner relationships, as well as placement strategy.
Mark, who was previously Divisional Director – London and Specialty, leading and developing the division across the London Commercial, Legal Indemnities and Credit and Surety teams, brings more than 12 years of experience with Thomas Carroll.
Laura Willis has been appointed as Head of Marketing. Previously Group Marketing Communications Manager for Thomas Carroll in 2021, Laura moved to Hodge Bank for five years where she was Marketing Strategy Manager. She has returned to the business and will focus on brand strategy, communications, and digital innovation.
Tom Bevan is new Divisional Director – Employee Benefits, moving from Independent Financial Adviser and Employee Benefits Consultant. Tom has worked at Thomas Carroll for eight years. In his new position, Tom will lead and develop Thomas Carroll’s growing Employee Benefits team.
As an independent and employee-owned business, the leadership appointments reflect the company’s commitment to growth, succession planning and customer experience.
To further strengthen corporate client experience, Thomas Carroll has also appointed Rhys Grant, Craig Morris and Ross Williams as Client Directors in the commercial insurance team, and Matt Cooper as Client Director in the employee benefits team.
The aim of the client director role is to recognise the level of dedicated service and experience Thomas Carroll offer corporate clients across both commercial risk and employee benefits solutions, covering businesses in specialist sectors including manufacturing, construction, charity and professional services.

Tom Bevan said: “When I joined Thomas Carroll, I honestly had a completely different career path in mind. Looking back on my journey over the past eight years, I’m grateful to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way. I’m proud of the journey I’ve had with Thomas Carroll and would never have imagined that I’d be in this position today.”
