SD Team launches UK-wide recruitment drive to support ambitious growth plans

SD Team, the UK’s leading finishing group, has launched a nationwide recruitment campaign to support the next stage of its ambitious growth plans, creating opportunities for cosmetic finishers and sealant applicators throughout the UK.

The business is recruiting 20 cosmetic finishers and 25 sealant applicators UK-wide to support increasing demand across its construction, insurance, commercial and marine divisions. The company also operates its own in-house training facility, the SD Academy, to help recruits earn specific construction and finishing NVQs.

The recruitment campaign comes as SD Team continues to strengthen its nationwide presence by expanding its capacity to deliver specialist cosmetic repairs and sealant services to customers across the UK.

First launched in 1973 as S&D Sealants, the company provides professional sealant and cosmetic repairs services and has since expanded, adding cruise ship specialist SD Marine Interiors, as well as wholesalers Solseal and SPC Supplies, to its group of companies.

Alongside its newly-opened headquarters in Cwmbran, Wales, SD Team has nine offices nationwide and has recently expanded overseas with the opening of its first European offering in the Netherlands.

Nick Jones, Managing Director of SD Team, said: “The construction industry has faced significant challenges in recent months due to ongoing economic uncertainty. While we have certainly experienced the impact of these conditions, we’ve been fortunate to benefit from strong, long-standing relationships with our construction partners and a committed workforce that consistently goes the extra mile to deliver exceptional results.

“We’re seeing increasing demand for cosmetic repair services across a range of sectors, and recruiting talented finishers is a key part of our plans for sustainable growth.

“We’re looking for people who take real pride in their work and want to be part of a business that invests in its people. Whether they’re already experienced in cosmetic repairs or have transferable skills from related trades, we want to hear from individuals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional quality.

“Our people have always been at the heart of our success. As we continue to grow, we’re focused on creating rewarding career opportunities while maintaining the high standards and customer service that SD Team has become known for.”

The new recruits will work on a diverse range of projects, from new-build homes and commercial properties to hospitals, hotels, schools, retail premises and insurance repair work. SD Team also carries out specialist cosmetic repairs and interior finishing on some of the world’s leading cruise ships through its marine division.

Successful applicants will receive ongoing training, development opportunities and the chance to work for one of the UK’s leading cosmetic repair specialists as the business continues to expand.

Nick added: “This is an exciting time for SD Team. With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment across the business, we’re creating opportunities for skilled professionals to join a growing organisation with ambitious plans for the future.”
