Vidett hires three new team members

Vidett, a UK-leading professional trustee and pension governance firm, has welcomed three new team members as it strengthens its capabilities across pensions governance, administration oversight and communications.

The appointments come as pension schemes face increasing regulatory scrutiny and growing pressure to demonstrate not only strong governance frameworks, but also clear, evidenced understanding of day-to-day administration performance and member outcomes.

The hires reflect Vidett’s continued focus on strengthening operational oversight and helping trustee boards and employers make better-informed decisions in an increasingly complex pensions landscape.

Jess Rigby joins Vidett as a Client Director to lead its administration and transition services, supporting the development of the firm’s internal delivery framework and client offering. She brings extensive experience in defined contribution (DC) master trusts, governance and large-scale scheme transitions, including senior roles at Evolve Pensions where she led operational and governance transformation and supported Master Trust Authorisation. Jess has also chaired the PASA DC Working Group.

Jess said: “I’m delighted to be joining Vidett at a time when there is such a strong focus on strengthening administration oversight. What attracted me most was the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where that expertise can be embedded more widely and used to genuinely improve how pension schemes operate in practice.”

“There’s often an assumption that things will just work, but we need a real understanding of what is happening day to day in pension scheme administration.”

Matt Riley joins as Manager, supporting governance, scheme secretarial and trustee services, communications and project delivery. He began his pensions career at Aon in 2009, providing governance and secretarial support to occupational pension schemes, before moving in-house to Vodafone, where he supported DB and Master Trust governance, supplier oversight and member engagement initiatives.

Natalina Onofrio rejoins Vidett as Marketing Assistant, focusing on digital marketing, communications, analytics and copywriting. She originally joined Vidett on a fixed-term contract in 2024 before moving into a permanent role within the marketing team. A Marketing graduate, she combines academic training with early career experience in fast-paced hospitality environments.

Wayne Phelan, Chief Executive at Vidett, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jess, Matt and Natalina to Vidett at a key time for the pensions industry. As schemes face increasing complexity and scrutiny, the need for strong governance, operational insight and clear communication has never been greater. Together, they will strengthen our ability to support clients with both technical expertise and clear, practical communication that will help to improve decision-making and outcomes.”
